Elland Road striker Alan Smith, 22 and Alex Ferguson are two of four investors involved in an amazing business tie-up.
They have paid £1 million each to buy a state-of-the-art office complex which they will then lease back to furniture company MFI.
The offices will cost around £4 mill and are being built on an industrial park in Northampton.
It is part of a new trend in which high-profile celebrities are investing in the property market as a way of beating the tax man.
Basketball star sinks £100 million into massive homes deal!
Basketball star Shaquille O'Neal has become one of the biggest individual landowners in the US after signing a £100 million deal to buy 21 housing communities in Colorado.
The Los Angeles Lakers center signed the deal with Urban Inc to develop the low-income residential estates. He said it would be easy for him to develop a housing community around a golf course or buy shopping malls 'but that's not how I want my book to go'.
The 7ft star began investing in Colorado property four years ago with his uncle and business manager, Mike Parris. Commercial and Residential Property investment is seen by many in professional sport as a good way to ensure financial security for the future.
